About The Author As a top producing Realtor in Hawaii, Madge Walls received her company's highest awards, both locally and nationally. For over five years she taught real estate licensing at Maui Community College, and Continuing Education courses at the Realtors Association of Maui. Walls joined Carol Ball and Associates, Realtors in Wailuku in 1987, and later The Prudential Locations in Kihei. She obtained her broker's license in 1991. A graduate of Punahou School in Honolulu, the author has a BA in mathematics from the University of Oregon Honors College, and is a Graduate, Realtor Institute (GRI). She served on and chaired various committees at the Realtors Association of Maui, and was a member of the Hawaii Association of Real Estate Schools.
About the Editor Carol Ball is a Maui native representing four generations of Mauians. She started the real estate firm Carol Ball and Associates Realtors in 1980 and serves as chairman of the multi agent firm. Known as an innovator in real estate Carol opened showroom offices in the center court of one of Maui’s largest shopping complexes in the mid ‘90’s and showcased over a dozen developments from this venue. The 21st Century ushered interactive tech tools used not only by real estate professionals but also by buyers and sellers. Utilizing these tools in her classes, Carol continues her concern for the basics of professional real estate practice which she teaches prelicensing students as well as her own agents. Carol holds a BA in Education from the University of Michigan and an MEd in Educational Psychology and a Certificate in Online Teaching from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She holds the prestigious national real estate designations of Accredited Buyer Representative Manager (ABRM), Certified Broker Manager (CRB), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) and is a member of the Graduate Realtors Institute (GRI). She has been a licensed real estate prelicensing instructor since 2001 and offers prelicense instruction through her school, Carol Ball School of Real Estate and the Maui Community College. |
